Are you a parent wondering how to get your high school junior off to a strong start on their college applications over the summer? Are you a rising senior panicking about the impending college application process?
Have no fear! Join essay coaches and college counselors Wendy Phillips and Ben Cullen for a supercharged two-day online admissions essay course this summer!
Boot campers will generate a working draft of the common application essay. Along the way , they will read and discuss examples of effective college essays, brainstorm topics, strategize how to most effectively share their story on different sections of the application, find their voice and structure, and, ultimately, craft powerful, authentic pieces of writing that will get results. The course will focus on nailing the Common App essay, but it will also touch on approaches to common supplemental and personal insight questions.
